Curry is the name for various types of food cooked with spices to have a sharp and spicy flavor. Curry is the cuisine of South Asian origin, mainly from India which has been extended to all countries in the Asia Pacific and Europe.

Herbs and spices used to make curry is very diverse and not limited to the coriander, turmeric, pepper, chili powder, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, fenugreek, aniseed, bay leaves Koja, and cloves. Types of spices that are used depending the type and country of origin of curry dishes. Curry powder (curry powder) or masala is a mixture of different types of herbs and spices which first made by the British in the days of the British empire because it misses with Indian curry.

In Dravidian languages, means vegetables in curry sauce or saus. Karughi word work in Tamil language means fry with lots of oil (or burn). In Kannada language, also fry or curry dishes fried food. In some South Indian languages, literally, curry dishes (various kinds of vegetable dishes and meat) are eaten with rice or bread. In Western countries, curry has become the English vocabulary for all types of cuisine in South Asia and Southeast Asia that is cooked with various spices.

The popularity of curry has spread from the Indian subcontinent into the treasures of world cuisine. Every country has the kind of typical curry tailored men in the country. Curry has become the food world, and adopted into Thai cuisine, British cuisine and Japanese cuisine.
